Pakistan Railways on Thursday issued an updated train schedule affecting several services departing from Lahore and Faisalabad to major cities including Karachi, Quetta and Rawalpindi. Passengers are advised to check revised departure times and arrive early for affected trains.

Pakistan Railways has Released a New Train Schedule

Major changes and affected trains

  • Karakoram Express (42-Down) — will now depart Lahore for Karachi at 5:15 pm, running 2 hours 15 minutes late from its original 3:00 pm time.
  • Pak Business Express (34-Down) — now scheduled to leave Lahore at 7:00 pm, delayed 2 hours 30 minutes from the planned 4:30 pm departure.
  • Karachi Express (16-Down) — will depart Lahore for Karachi at the scheduled time of 6:00 pm; no change reported.
  • Shah Hussain Express (44-Down) — passengers will be transferred to Green Line (6-Down) for today’s journey. Green Line 6-Down will leave Lahore at its regular time of 8:40 pm. Passengers of Shah Hussain Express are requested to arrive one hour before Green Line’s departure to facilitate smooth boarding and seat allocation.

All other trains from Lahore and Faisalabad bound for Karachi, Quetta, Rawalpindi and other destinations are reported to be running as per their scheduled timings, the announcement said.
